Description
Humans have been attracted to the power, beauty, and natural resources provided by volcanoes since the beginning of time. Employees of modern parks, protected areas, and preserves capitalize on this instinctive interest by providing visitors with close-up experiences, and exceptional learning opportunities. These "teachable moments" during volcano visits are the most effective occasions for educating visitors, and encouraging appreciation for and preservation of volcanic landscapes. It is our intention that session participants will return to their communities with fresh ideas for the interpretation, preservation and management of volcanic lands.
